Once you're here

Getting around the village & the hills.

The village itself is small and walkable — Dwyer Square to either end of the main street is a five-minute stroll, and every pub, café, shop and the Courthouse Arts Centre is on foot from Madeline's.

For trailheads, Tomnafinnoge Wood and the more remote loop walks you'll want a car or a bike. The Railway Walk and the Wicklow Way both start within minutes of the village — no transport needed.

Tip: mobile signal can be patchy in the hills. Download offline maps before you head out for a walk, and pick up a paper map at the Courthouse Arts Centre while you're at it.

That's the practical bit sorted.

Have a wander through the rest of the site for what to do, where to eat, and to lock in your room at Madeline's before someone else gets it.
